  • States of Matter in the Hydrosphere: A Comprehensive Overview
The hydrosphere is the part of the Earth that includes all water, whether it is liquid, solid (ice), or gas (water vapor). So, all states of matter appear in the hydrosphere:

    * Liquid: This is the most common form of water in the hydrosphere, found in oceans, lakes, rivers, and groundwater.

    * Solid: This is ice, which is found in glaciers, ice caps, and sea ice.

    * Gas: This is water vapor, which is found in the atmosphere and can condense to form clouds and precipitation.

Therefore, no state of matter appears exclusively in the hydrosphere.
