  • Understanding Gravity: The Force That Shapes Our Universe
The force that pulls things to Earth is called gravity.

Here's a little more about gravity:

    * It's a force of attraction between any two objects with mass. The more massive an object is, the stronger its gravitational pull. Since Earth is very massive, it exerts a strong gravitational pull on everything around it.

    * Gravity keeps us on the ground, pulls the moon around the Earth, and holds the Earth in orbit around the sun.

    * It's not just a force pulling things down. Gravity actually acts between any two objects, but we only feel it strongly from Earth because it's so big.
