The only objects that can be seen from Earth because they produce their own light are the Sun and other stars.

Here's why:

* The Sun: Our Sun is a massive star, and it generates light and heat through nuclear fusion. This is the process where hydrogen atoms combine to form helium, releasing tremendous amounts of energy in the form of light and heat.

* Stars: All stars, like our Sun, produce their own light through nuclear fusion. The light from distant stars is what we see in the night sky.

While the Moon reflects sunlight and appears bright, it doesn't produce its own light. Similarly, planets in our solar system reflect sunlight, but they don't generate their own light.
