  • The Sun's Photosphere: What We See From Earth
The layer of the Sun that is visible to us from Earth is called the photosphere.

    Here's why:

    * The photosphere is the Sun's outermost layer, and it's where light is emitted.

    * It's relatively cool compared to the Sun's interior, allowing light to escape.

    * It's the layer we see as the bright, yellow disk in the sky.

While other layers exist (like the chromosphere and corona), they are much fainter and only visible during eclipses or with specialized instruments.
