  • Hottest & Coldest Habitats on Earth: Deep Sea Vents & Deserts
The two habitats known for the most extreme temperatures are:

    1. Deep Sea Hydrothermal Vents: These underwater vents spew superheated water, often reaching temperatures exceeding 300°C (572°F). This extreme heat comes from volcanic activity on the ocean floor.

    2. Deserts: Deserts experience extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. The Sahara Desert, for instance, can reach scorching temperatures above 50°C (122°F) during the day and drop significantly below freezing at night.

While both these habitats are incredibly challenging, life has found a way to thrive in both. Deep sea vents are home to unique ecosystems teeming with extremophile organisms, while desert animals and plants have evolved remarkable adaptations to survive the harsh conditions.
