  • Understanding Sea Breezes: Causes & Formation
The breeze that blows from the sea is called a sea breeze.

    Here's why:

    * Land heats up faster than water: During the day, the land absorbs more solar energy than the ocean, causing the land to become hotter.

    * Warm air rises: The warm air over the land expands and becomes less dense, causing it to rise.

    * Cool air rushes in: As the warm air rises, cooler air from the ocean rushes in to fill the void, creating a breeze blowing from the sea towards the land.

This breeze is often stronger during the day and weaker at night, when the land cools down.
