  • Wind Pollination: How Wind Helps Plants Reproduce
The wind helps many plants reproduce by pollination.

    Here's how it works:

    * Pollen Production: Wind-pollinated plants produce large amounts of lightweight pollen grains.

    * Wind Dispersion: The wind carries these pollen grains away from the plant.

    * Pollination: The windblown pollen grains land on the stigma (the female reproductive part) of another flower, fertilizing the egg cells.

This process is called wind pollination. It's a very efficient way for plants to reproduce in areas with plenty of wind, like grasslands and forests.
