  • Propagating African Violets from Leaves: A Simple Guide
The flower plant that grows from a leaf is the African Violet (Saintpaulia ionantha).

This is because African Violets propagate through leaf cuttings. You can take a healthy leaf, remove the stem, and place it in a rooting medium. The leaf will develop roots and eventually produce a new plant.

There are other plants that can be propagated through leaf cuttings, but the African Violet is a classic example.
