  • Cactus Habitats: Where Do These Desert Plants Thrive?
Cacti are adapted to survive in hot and arid deserts around the world. They are found in:

    * North America: The Sonoran Desert, the Mojave Desert, the Chihuahuan Desert.

    * South America: The Atacama Desert, the Patagonian Desert.

    * Africa: The Sahara Desert, the Namib Desert.

    * Australia: The Simpson Desert, the Gibson Desert.

While cacti are most commonly associated with these deserts, they can also be found in other arid regions like:

    * Mediterranean regions: Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

    * The Andes Mountains: High-altitude deserts.

However, it's important to note that not all deserts are home to cacti. Some, like the Gobi Desert in Asia, are too cold for cacti to thrive.
