  • Understanding Light Microscopes: How They Create Images
The instrument that produces an image of a specimen by passing visible light through it is called a light microscope.

    Here's how it works:

    * Light Source: A light source illuminates the specimen.

    * Condenser Lens: This lens focuses the light onto the specimen.

    * Objective Lens: This lens magnifies the image of the specimen.

    * Specimen: The object you want to view is placed on a stage.

    * Stage: A platform that supports the specimen.

    * Eyepiece: You look through this lens to view the magnified image.

Light microscopes are widely used in biology, medicine, and other fields to visualize small objects like cells, bacteria, and tissues.
