Vegetation vs. Biome: Understanding the Difference
Vegetation and biome are not the same. Vegetation refers to the community of plants that grows in a particular area, whereas a biome is a large-scale ecological community characterized by its climate, soil, and plant and animal life. Biomes can be classified into different types, such as forests, grasslands, deserts, and tundra, each with its own unique vegetation. Vegetation is one component of a biome, along with other factors such as climate, soil, and animal life.
