  • Crow Winter Behavior: Do They Migrate?
Many bird species migrate south to warmer climates for the colder months of winter. However, crows commonly do not migrate; they have adapted well enough to survive in colder environments. Instead of migrating, crows may adapt their behavior and physiology to survive the harsher winter conditions. For instance, they may gather in larger groups for roosting to retain body heat and search for food sources more diligently to replenish energy stores. Additionally, their omnivorous diet allows them to consume different food sources available during the winter, like berries, carrion, and seeds.
