Your brain is responsible for all the functions in your body. Each part of the brain has specific functions to control, and they work together to give you a functional human body.
The frontal lobe is located in the cerebral cortex at the front of your brain. It controls your consciousness, judgment, emotional responses and expressive language (how you choose and associate words).
The parietal lobe is located near the top and back of the head. It controls visual attention (how you process what you see), touch perception and how your senses work together.
The occipital lobes are located at the rear of your head, just above your neck. They control your vision.
The temporal lobes are located at the sides of your head, just above your ears. They control your hearing, memory and ability to categorize objects.
The brain stem is located deep inside your brain. It controls important bodily functions like breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, swallowing and sense of balance.
The cerebellum is located at the base of your brain. It controls the coordination of body movements, balance and equilibrium.
