  • Ounces vs. Cubic Inches: Understanding the Difference & Conversion
    There is no direct conversion between ounces and cubic inches.

    Ounces are a measure of weight (or mass).

    Cubic inches are a measure of volume.

    You can't convert one to the other without knowing the density of the substance you are measuring.

    For example, one cubic inch of water weighs about 0.55 ounces, while one cubic inch of gold weighs about 10.3 ounces.
