  • Understanding Volume of Cubes: Geometric Shapes & Cubed Numbers
    There's no single formula for finding the volume of "cubes" because the term "cube" can refer to two different things:

    1. A Cube (the geometric shape):

    * Formula: Volume = side * side * side (or Volume = side³)

    * Explanation: A cube has six equal square faces. The volume is calculated by multiplying the length of one side by itself three times.

    2. A Cube (a number raised to the power of 3):

    * Formula: Cube of a number = number * number * number (or number³)

    * Explanation: This is a mathematical operation where a number is multiplied by itself three times.

    Example:

    * Cube (geometric shape): A cube with a side length of 5 cm has a volume of 5 cm * 5 cm * 5 cm = 125 cm³

    * Cube (mathematical operation): The cube of 3 is 3 * 3 * 3 = 27

    Make sure you understand which type of "cube" you're dealing with before applying the formula.
