    Coasts are found where land meets the sea or ocean.

    * Around islands: Islands are surrounded by coasts, both big and small.

    * At the mouths of rivers: Where rivers flow into the sea, you often find a coastline.

    * On the edges of lakes and seas: While technically not "ocean coasts", these areas still exhibit many coastal features.

    Essentially, any place where the land transitions to water is considered a coast.
