  • Crust and Mantle: Understanding the Boundary & Earth's Structure
    There is no layer of the Earth between the crust and the mantle. The crust is the outermost layer, and the mantle is directly beneath it.

    There is a boundary between the crust and the mantle called the Mohorovičić discontinuity (Moho), but it's not a separate layer. It's a zone where the density of the Earth's materials changes significantly.
