  • Earth's Spheres: Understanding the Geosphere, Hydrosphere, and Atmosphere
The three major domains of Earth are:

    1. Geosphere: This refers to the solid, non-living parts of Earth, including the crust, mantle, and core. It encompasses rocks, minerals, landforms, and the processes that shape them, such as plate tectonics and erosion.

    2. Hydrosphere: This encompasses all the water on Earth, including oceans, lakes, rivers, groundwater, and ice. It plays a crucial role in regulating Earth's climate, supporting life, and shaping landscapes.

    3. Atmosphere: This is the layer of gases that surrounds Earth. It protects us from harmful solar radiation, regulates temperature, and facilitates weather and climate patterns. The atmosphere is composed of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other trace gases.
