    Here are two examples of non-foliated rocks:

    1. Marble: Marble is a metamorphic rock formed from limestone. It is non-foliated because the heat and pressure that transform limestone into marble cause the calcite crystals to recrystallize, forming a tightly interlocking, granular texture.

    2. Quartzite: Quartzite is a metamorphic rock formed from sandstone. The intense heat and pressure during metamorphism cause the quartz grains in the sandstone to fuse together, creating a very hard and durable rock with a non-foliated texture.
