The tallest fault-block mountain is Mount Whitney, located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, USA. It stands at an impressive 14,505 feet (4,421 meters) above sea level.

While other peaks like Mount Elbrus (Caucasus Mountains) and Aconcagua (Andes Mountains) are higher, they are formed by different geological processes (volcanism and tectonic uplift, respectively) and not by fault-block formation.
