    Here are some non-examples of the mantle:

    * The crust: The Earth's crust is the outermost layer, and it's distinct from the mantle below.

    * The core: The Earth's core is the innermost layer, consisting of a solid inner core and a liquid outer core.

    * The atmosphere: This is the layer of gases surrounding the Earth.

    * The ocean: This is the body of water covering most of the Earth's surface.

    * A cloak: This is a garment, and while it might "mantle" something, it's not the Earth's mantle.
