  • Understanding Clastic Texture in Detrital Sedimentary Rocks
The texture of all detrital sedimentary rocks is clastic. Here's why:

    * Detrital sedimentary rocks are formed from the accumulation and cementation of fragments (clasts) of other rocks.

    * Clastic texture refers to the presence of these fragments, which can range in size from microscopic to boulder-sized.

Therefore, all detrital sedimentary rocks, by their very definition, have a clastic texture. This differentiates them from other types of sedimentary rocks, like chemical or organic sedimentary rocks, which have different textures.
