  • Earth's Layers: Understanding the Crust, Mantle, and Core
The outermost zone of the Earth is the crust.

Here's a bit more about the Earth's layers:

    * Crust: The thin, rocky outer layer of the Earth. It's divided into oceanic crust (thinner and denser) and continental crust (thicker and less dense).

    * Mantle: A thick layer of mostly solid rock that lies beneath the crust. It's hotter and more fluid than the crust, and its movement drives plate tectonics.

    * Outer Core: A liquid layer of iron and nickel. It's responsible for generating Earth's magnetic field.

    * Inner Core: A solid ball of iron and nickel at the Earth's center. It's extremely hot and under immense pressure.
