    The two most common kinds of glaciers are:

    1. Valley glaciers: These are glaciers that flow down valleys, often carving out distinctive U-shaped valleys. They are also known as alpine glaciers.

    2. Ice sheets: These are massive sheets of ice that cover large areas of land, such as Greenland and Antarctica. They are much larger and thicker than valley glaciers.
