    The largest desert on Earth is the Antarctic Polar Desert.

    While it might not seem like a traditional desert with sand dunes, it meets the definition: a region receiving very little precipitation. The Antarctic Polar Desert covers a massive 14 million square kilometers (5.4 million square miles). It's much larger than the Sahara Desert, which is the largest "hot" desert.
