  • Earth's Core: Location, Science & How We Find It
The center of the Earth is a point in space, not a physical location like a city or landmark. It's the geometrical center of the Earth, which is the point equidistant from all points on the Earth's surface.

While we can't physically go there, we can locate it using:

    * Geodetic measurements: By measuring the Earth's shape and size, we can calculate the center point.

    * Gravity measurements: The gravitational pull is strongest at the center of the Earth.

    * Seismic waves: Studying the way seismic waves travel through the Earth gives us information about the Earth's structure, including the location of the center.

So, the center of the Earth is a theoretical point that can be determined through scientific methods, not a physical place you can visit.
