  • Water Boundaries: US and British North America - Atlantic Ocean & Beyond
The bodies of water that separate the US from British territory to the north are:

    * The Atlantic Ocean: This is the main body of water separating the two countries, along the eastern coast of the US and the western coast of the UK.

    * The Strait of Belle Isle: This narrow strait separates the island of Newfoundland, part of Canada, from the mainland of Labrador, also part of Canada. It's a significant maritime passageway connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

    * The Gulf of St. Lawrence: This large gulf is part of the Atlantic Ocean and separates the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec from the mainland of the United States.

    * The Great Lakes: Although technically located within the US and Canada, these five large freshwater lakes (Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario) form a significant part of the border between the two countries.

It's important to note that the UK does not have any territory directly bordering the US. The territory to the north of the US is Canada, a separate country.
