  • Identifying Granite's Key Minerals: Quartz & Feldspar
    The two most abundant minerals always present in granite are:

    1. Quartz: It's typically clear or milky white and gives granite its characteristic sparkle.

    2. Feldspar: It's usually white, pink, or gray and makes up the largest portion of granite.

    While other minerals like mica and hornblende can be present in granite, quartz and feldspar are the defining components that give granite its distinctive appearance and properties.
