  • Continental Drift: Matching Rocks Prove Pangaea Theory
The two continents that have matching rocks and minerals are South America and Africa.

This is a key piece of evidence for the theory of continental drift. The matching rock formations and mineral deposits on these two continents, especially along their coastlines, suggest they were once joined together as a single landmass. This supercontinent, called Pangaea, began to break apart millions of years ago, and the continents drifted to their current positions.
