The oldest rocks in India are found in the Dharwar craton, located in the southern part of the Indian peninsula. These rocks are estimated to be 3.6 billion years old, making them some of the oldest rocks on Earth.

While there are other ancient rocks in India, like those in the Aravalli craton, the Dharwar craton holds the record for the oldest.
