  • What’s the name of the mist that drapes Table Mountain?
    The mist that often forms on Table Mountain is called the "Tablecloth".

    It's a spectacular sight, and a familiar one to Capetonians. It's formed when moist air from the Atlantic Ocean rises up the slopes of the mountain, cools, and condenses into a cloud.
