Mount Bromo is not particularly tall compared to other volcanoes. It has a summit elevation of 2,329 meters (7,641 feet).

However, it's important to note that:

* The surrounding caldera, called the Tengger Caldera, is much larger: It's about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in diameter and 600 meters (1,969 feet) deep.

* The volcano's prominence is significant: This refers to its height relative to the surrounding terrain. Mount Bromo rises 700 meters (2,300 feet) above the caldera floor, making it a visually impressive landmark.

So, while not the tallest volcano, Mount Bromo is certainly imposing and a popular tourist destination.
