  • Lunar Grabens: Understanding Moon's Crustal Fractures
Cracks in the Moon's bedrock are called graben.

A graben is a geological feature consisting of a depressed block of the Earth's crust bounded by parallel faults. The word "graben" comes from the German word for "ditch." On the Moon, these grabens are formed by tectonic forces that pull the crust apart.
