    Here are two kinds of fossils:

    1. Body Fossils: These are the actual remains of an organism, such as bones, teeth, shells, leaves, or even entire bodies preserved in rock.

    2. Trace Fossils: These are indirect evidence of an organism's existence, such as footprints, burrows, nests, or even fossilized droppings (coprolites). They reveal information about an organism's behavior, movement, and environment.
