  • Where Was Pure Aluminum First Isolated? (Denmark, 1825)
Aluminum wasn't "discovered" in the way that a new continent or species is discovered. It was actually isolated for the first time in Denmark by Hans Christian Ørsted in 1825.

While aluminum exists naturally in many compounds, it was challenging to isolate it in its pure metallic form. Ørsted managed to do so using a process involving the electrolysis of aluminum chloride.

It's important to note that aluminum was already known to exist in various compounds before Ørsted's work. However, his isolation of the pure metal marked a significant milestone in understanding and utilizing this element.
