There are two states in the United States that are on or above the 60 degrees north line of latitude:

* Alaska

* Hawaii

While Alaska's northernmost point is well above the 60th parallel, Hawaii's location is slightly more complex. Although the majority of the Hawaiian islands are below the 60th parallel, the northwesternmost point of the island of Kauai, Niihau, actually crosses the 60th parallel. Therefore, Hawaii is also considered to be a state on or above the 60 degrees north line of latitude.
