  • Longitude of the South Pole: Why It's Undefined
The South Pole is located at all longitudes.

    Here's why:

    * Longitude lines converge at the poles. Imagine a globe. Longitude lines run from north to south, like slices of an orange. They all meet at the North and South Poles.

    * No specific longitude. Because of this convergence, there's no single longitude that can be assigned to the South Pole.
