  • Continents Between 40° North & South Latitude: An Explanation
That's a tricky question! There isn't one continent that falls *completely* between 40 degrees north and south latitude. Here's why:

    * North America: It extends above 40 degrees North.

    * South America: It extends below 40 degrees South.

    * Africa: It extends above 40 degrees North and below 40 degrees South.

    * Asia: It extends above 40 degrees North and below 40 degrees South.

    * Europe: It extends above 40 degrees North.

    * Australia: It extends below 40 degrees South.

    * Antarctica: It's entirely below 40 degrees South.

However, several continents have large portions within those latitude lines. These include:

    * Africa: A significant portion of the continent, including many countries, falls within the 40 degrees North and South latitude range.

    * Asia: Large parts of Asia, including China, India, and Southeast Asian countries, are located within these latitudes.

So, it depends on what you mean by "falls between." Technically, no single continent is entirely within that range, but many continents have major portions within it.
