  • Africa's Hemispheric Location: Eastern Hemisphere Explained
Africa is located in only one hemisphere: the Eastern Hemisphere.

It's important to remember that there are two main ways to divide the Earth:

    * Northern and Southern Hemispheres: This division is based on the equator. Anything north of the equator is in the Northern Hemisphere, and anything south is in the Southern Hemisphere.

    * Eastern and Western Hemispheres: This division is based on the prime meridian. Anything east of the prime meridian is in the Eastern Hemisphere, and anything west is in the Western Hemisphere.

Africa is located entirely south of the equator and east of the prime meridian, placing it firmly in the Eastern Hemisphere.
