    Tennessee borders the following bodies of water:

    Rivers:

    * Mississippi River: Forms the western border of the state.

    * Ohio River: Forms part of the northern border.

    * Tennessee River: Flows through the eastern part of the state.

    * Cumberland River: Flows through the central part of the state.

    Lakes:

    * Kentucky Lake: A large reservoir on the Tennessee River, formed by a dam.

    * Pickwick Lake: Another large reservoir on the Tennessee River.

    * Reelfoot Lake: A natural lake formed by an earthquake.

    * Chickamauga Lake: A reservoir on the Tennessee River.

    * Norris Lake: A reservoir on the Clinch River.

    * Cherokee Lake: A reservoir on the Holston River.

    * Douglas Lake: A reservoir on the French Broad River.

    Oceans:

    * Tennessee does not border any oceans.
