  • Convergent Boundaries in Southeast Asia: Eurasian & Indo-Australian Plates
The two tectonic plates that make up a convergent boundary near southeast Asia are:

    * The Eurasian Plate: This is a large continental plate that covers much of Europe and Asia.

    * The Indo-Australian Plate: This is a large plate that includes the Indian subcontinent and Australia.

The collision of these two plates is responsible for the formation of the Himalayas, the world's highest mountain range. The Indo-Australian plate is moving northwards and is currently colliding with the Eurasian plate. This collision is also responsible for the formation of many volcanoes and earthquakes in the region.
