  • Mount Kilimanjaro Precipitation: Annual Rainfall by Altitude
Mount Kilimanjaro's precipitation varies greatly depending on altitude and location on the mountain.

    * Lower slopes: Receive around 500 mm (20 inches) of rainfall annually, with most of it falling during the two rainy seasons (April-May and November-December).

    * Higher slopes: Experience higher precipitation, with the summit receiving up to 1,500 mm (60 inches) per year. The rain is distributed throughout the year, with no distinct dry season.

It's important to note that these are just estimates, and the actual rainfall can fluctuate significantly from year to year.
