  • Extinct Volcanoes in Cuba: Exploring the Sierra Maestra's Volcanic Past
While Cuba has no currently active volcanoes, there are extinct volcanoes on the island.

These volcanoes are part of the Sierra Maestra mountain range in eastern Cuba. The volcanic activity dates back millions of years, and the volcanoes are now deeply eroded and covered in vegetation.

However, it's important to note that:

    * No eruptions have been recorded in recent history.

    * There is no evidence of volcanic activity currently occurring.

Therefore, although Cuba has extinct volcanoes, they pose no immediate threat of eruption.
