    Crowders Mountain is not an extinct volcano.

    Crowders Mountain is a mountain formed by geological processes related to the uplift of the Blue Ridge Mountains, not volcanic activity. It's made primarily of metamorphic rocks which were formed from sedimentary rocks subjected to intense heat and pressure over millions of years.
