  • Yanomami Climate: Understanding the Tropical Rainforest Environment

    The Yanomami live in the tropical rainforest climate of the upper Orinoco region. The mean annual temperature ranges from 23° to 26°C while rainfall is high; rainfall exceeds 3,500 millimeters (140 inches) and is heaviest from May to January with a drier season February to April The region has an altitudinal range from about 100 meters to well over 1,000 meters.
