Alaska is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is a horseshoe-shaped region around the Pacific Ocean that is home to a large number of earthquakes and volcanoes. The Ring of Fire is home to about 90% of the world's earthquakes and 75% of the world's volcanoes.
Nebraska, on the other hand, is located in the middle of the North American continent, far away from any major tectonic plate boundaries. As a result, Nebraska is much less likely to experience earthquakes than Alaska.
