  • Understanding the Formation of Newark Lowlands: Glacial Ridges and Valleys
    Newark Lowlands is a geographic region and not a geologic province of ridges and valleys. It was formed by the retreat of the glaciers during the last ice age, which left behind several parallel ridges of terminal moraine known as the Riegelsville Moraine.
