  • Constructive Erosion: How Valleys and New Landforms Are Formed
    Valleys.

Constructive erosion refers to the process by which new landforms are created as a result of erosion. Valleys are one of the most common landforms created by constructive erosion. As water flows over the land, it picks up sediment and carries it away. This sediment is then deposited in low-lying areas, such as valleys. Over time, these deposits can build up and create new landforms, such as floodplains and deltas.
