  • Earth's Mantle Depth: Distance from Crust Explained
The thickness of the Earth's crust varies widely, ranging from a few kilometers to over 100 kilometers. Beneath the crust lies the mantle, which extends down to a depth of about 2900 kilometers. Therefore, the distance between the crust and the mantle varies accordingly. On average, the mantle is located approximately 30 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
