  • Cave Temperatures: Why Caves Remain Consistently Cool (or Warm)
The temperature inside a cave is relatively constant throughout the year. This is because caves are insulated from the outside air by the rock that surrounds them. The temperature inside a cave is typically around 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius). However, some caves can be much warmer or cooler than this. For example, caves that are located in tropical climates can be much warmer, while caves that are located in cold climates can be much cooler.
